Weaving Workshop - TASMANIA

A$180.00

Weave : Process and Play

This immersive workshop explores frame weaving by introducing foundational techniques alongside intuitive experimentation with textural, expressive yarns.

Date : Sunday, 15th of February

Time : 2pm - 4:30pm

Where : 84 Black Brush Road, Mangalore, 7030

Hosted by the Cloudstone Artist Residency

An invitation to slow down and work with the hands, this frame weaving workshop introduces the quiet language of weave through texture, rhythm and colour. Over 2.5 hours, participants will learn how to set up a warp, shaping pattern through the weft, experimenting with a range of fibres, and finishing their work. Meditative and tactile by nature, the workshop offers a focused space to experiment, make, and leave with both a completed piece and the materials and confidence to continue weaving at home.

What’s included?

  • A frame loom, 25cm x 35cm.

  • A curated range of natural materials (linen/silk/wool/cotton) to use on the day, as well as extra materials to take home.

  • 2 x wooden needles and a comb.

  •  A comprehensive instruction booklet including resources and inspiration.
